Champions League: Ibrahimovic is an indisciplined player said Terry

Chelsea captain, john terry, has reacted to Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s description of his team mates as “babies”, saying Paris St Germain (PSG)’s players were similarly guilty on a night of ill-discipline at stamford bridge.
Ibrahimovic, 33, was shown a straight red card after 31 minutes of the UEFA Champions League last 16 second leg draw on Wednesday, subsequent to a tackle on Chelsea’s midfielder, Oscar which prompted his team mates to surround the referee and demand punishment.
Meanwhile, television replays had suggested PSG forward, Ibrahimovic was no more at fault than Oscar.
“You have to stick up for your team mates. Every side is as bad as each other. It is part of the game,” Terry said, responding to reproach of Chelsea’s conduct.
Despite referee, Bjorn Kuipers, being surrounded by almost the entire Chelsea team, Terry said he was only responding to provocation from the PSG players.
“Once they’re charging the ref, the only thing we can do is respond.
“You can’t as a group of players let them surround the ref, trying to get our players booked.
“For me if I have to run 20, 30 yards, it doesn’t look great but when you’re standing back and seeing five or six of their players surrounding the ref, I think I support my team mates.
“And once I go, four or five go with me, it doesn’t look good at all but that’s part of the game. We will match it if people want to mix it,” the 34-year-old said, adding that it is also part of the game.
However, in an interview with reporters at Stamford Bridge after the game, Ibrahimovic said: “I don’t know if I have to get angry or start to laugh.
“For me, when I saw the red card I was like, ‘the guy doesn’t know what he’s doing’.
“That is not the worst. The worst is when I got the red card, all the Chelsea players come around. It felt like I had a lot of babies around me.”
UEFA’s disciplinary panel will review Ibrahimovic’s red card at its meeting next week.
PSG Coach, Laurent Blanc, said that the club would appeal against Ibrahimovic’s red card and hoped he would be available for the quarter-final.
The French side went through on away goals after drawing 2-2 on the night, thanks to Thiago Silva’s header in extra time.

Suspected stowaway found dead in US-bound Arik plane

A suspected stowaway reportedly died in the undercarriage compartment of an Arik Air aircraft.
The body was evacuated by the men of the Airport Police Command on Saturday.
A statement by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, which confirmed the incident, said the body was discovered in an Arik airbus A345, marked CS-TFX, at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
It added that the corpse, whose identity had yet to be ascertained, had been deposited in an undisclosed mortuary, following due diligence by the relevant aviation and security agencies.
The statement said FAAN was reviewing footage of the CCTV and airside security operations with a view to identifying the gaps and personnel failure, if any, in order to take remedial actions.
The spokesperson for Arik Air, Mr. Banji Ola, could not be reached for comments on the incident.
However, the General Manager, FAAN, Mr. Yakubu Dati, confirmed to our correspondent that the flight was due to take off to the JFK Airport, United States, on Saturday night.
He said, “The aircraft was parked by the time the body was discovered, but we found out it was bound to leave for JFK later this night.”
Dati added that FAAN had intensified efforts at improving security and safety at both land and airside through the installation of high tech screening machines, CCTV surveillance cameras and patrol teams.
“The Authority is assuring all travelling passengers of safety of lives and property throughout all the nation’s airports,” he said.

Family of soldiers to recieve relief materials

President Goodluck Jonathan has asked the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to give relief materials to families of both fallen soldiers and those that are away on duty at the war front.
The Nigerian President gave the directive on Saturday, saying it was to appreciate the efforts of the troops that have reclaimed some communities from the members of the Boko Haram sect.
While distributing the items to military commands in Yola and Maiduguri, the director of Search and Rescue at NEMA, Air Commodore Charles Otegbade, said that the materials were given out to appreciate the gallantry of the Nigerian military in the war against insurgency.
Air Commodore Otegbade represented the Director General of the NEMA.
He said that the food materials distributed to the military commands should serve as a morale booster for the military, as they intensify the fight against the insurgents.

How Bill Gate's wife turned him down the first time they met

Bill and Melinda Gates first met in 1987, shortly after Melinda was hired as a product manager at Microsoft.
A few months later, Bill asked her out on a date.
"You know I was thinking maybe we could go out  if you give me your phone number  maybe two weeks from tonight," Bill said, according to an interview Melinda gave with AOL's Makers site.
"And I said to him, 'Two weeks from tonight? I have no idea what I'm doing two weeks from tonight.' And I said, 'You're not spontaneous enough for me.'"

But Bill wasn't ready to give up just yet.
"He called an hour later and said, 'Is this spontaneous enough for you?'" Melinda told Makers
She agreed to the date. They were married in a secret ceremony on the island of Lanai on January 1, 1994, after seven years of dating.
The couple has three daughters together. Their work with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has included everything from eradicating diseases across the world to developing sources of food for impoverished people.

Soyinka to Obasanjo; Nigeria recorded more political murders in your tenure

Professor Soyinka yesterday in Lagos at the public presentation of a book titled “Modern and Tradition Elite in the Politics of Lagos” written by Ambassador Patrick Dele Cole dismissed former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s book, “My Watch”, calling it “three tonnes of doctored and self-serving narratives”. Criticising Chief Obasanjo’s book, “My Watch” he described it as “three tonnes of doctored and self-serving narratives”.
He, therefore, tasked Dr Dele Cole, who was a former adviser to the former president, to give Obasanjo tutorial on how to write history.
Soyinka also asked Cole to investigate alleged allegations that President Goodluck Jonathan was training some 1000 snipers and write about it. He argued that there were more political murders during the former president’s reign than at any other time, noting that even during Gen. Sani Abacha’s time, he could not boast of 1000 snipers at his disposal. He however stated that a little learning is a dangerous thing.
